Honoring The Heart And Wisdom of The Feminine

The Talmud, the rabbinical commentary of the Bible, teaches that it was only the women that the Jewish people were able to leave Egypt in ancient times. It is also taught by many rabbis that women will lead the world forward to the messianic age. Where will this essential female leadership come from if women do not claim their unique voice and power as women?
"A woman is a co-creator with the Divine. Because the woman was endowed with greater sensitivity, she was given the privilege of birthing new life out of her own body. Life springs out of a woman and as such she experiences herself more connected to others and to 'mother' earth."
"A woman has the privilege of not only bearing children but of illuminating the atmosphere of her home with spirituality. By her consciousness she will make her home a place of peace and love or one of strife and misery. The happiness and well-being of her family is a reflection of her consciousness. Within the Jewish tradition, it is the woman who is given the responsibility of lighting the candles for Shabbat and holiday in the home. The light of the candle is gentle and small, but it illuminates the passageway to the hidden and deeper realms of being."
"Since the beginning of time and until the end of time, women have always had and will always have a most important role and a special responsibility to guide humanity towards its highest good. For many women, this sacred role takes place primarily in the context of the family. As a mother, a woman is a child's greatest spiritual teacher, responsible for transmitting to her children and even to her husband, the inner-most secrets of divinity of life... Everyone must know that it has always been and will always be the wisdom, the love, the intuition, the faith, and even the heroism of women throughout time that has sustained the humanity of civilization."

The challenge for a woman today is to maintain access to the gifts and talents that have been given to her because she is a woman, even when she is in the world of work outside of the home...
"A woman lives for love. This is good and a sign of her strength and not a weakness. In her heart of hearts, a woman cannot tolerate superficiality. So honor your depths. Yearn to surrender and be penetrated with Godliness. This is the greatest joy." -Eve.
'In our post-feminist world, we need to reclaim and honor the heart and wisdom of the feminine. Our world has suffered because of the imbalance between the masculine and feminine. We have great technology but lack loving families and intimate communities where people are emotionally nourished and unconditionally loved. It is the wisdom and heart of the feminine that nurtures real intimacy between people. Women have been primary nurturers in a society that did not honor them for their service.
"Biblical women were allotted very few words in the Bible, yet they changed the world forever. Often in opposition to the will and desire of their husbands, they made choices that embodied the heart and wisdom of the feminine. These choices altered the future history of their progeny with an indelible impact on the world at large..."
"The life stories of Biblical women represent soul archetypes of courageous and transformational forces. By making choices today in spiritual al with Biblical women, we continue their holy redemptive work. As prophetesses, they model how we can make ourselves, homes, and communities dwelling places for God."
The above are all quotes from Biblical Women Who Changed the World.
Prayer Affirmation for Mother's Day
May I be a co-creator with God each day and participate in the birth of a new consciousness of love and Divine revelation for the world.
May I open, embody, and radiate the unconditional love of the Divine to myself, others, and towards all of life's experiences each day. Everything has happened and is happening to move me forward to greater love, Divine connection and empowerment to express more of who I am and what I came in this world to give. May all the wounded parts of myself that have felt inadequate, unloved, and not good enough be healed in the presence of unconditional love of the Divine Mother within each of us. I am loved! I am loveable! I am beautiful! I am good enough!
May those who are blessed to have mothers who are alive, may you celebrate Mother's day with your heart filled with gratitude to the woman who served as your mother. If she was not been able to love you unconditionally, please forgive her, honor her, and know that she loved you as best as she could. For those of us who no longer have our mother physically with us, may we send blessing to our mothers in heaven and open to receive the love of unconditional love from the Divine Mother Herself. You are loved. You are loveable. You are beautiful. You are cherished just as you are!
